The Hokkaido Bush Pig and Koichi Nakatani AKA The Sonic Surfer have teamed up to put together this one of a kind trek to promote friendship and peace. Join us and a mixes group of Japanese and non-Japanese as we spend 9 magical days from (mt)Asahi-dake to (mt)Furano-dake. This trek is normally done in 5 to 6 days if you plan to go straight from (mt)Asahi-dake to (mt)Furano-dake ( the lonely planet route ). But we will camp a couple of days at one campsite to do a couple of side day hikes to some of Daisetsu-zan secrets, like natural hot spring pools and a fantastic peak which are not on the lonely planet route and only a local guide like The Hokkaido Bush pig can show you.

The Hokkaido Bush Pig
is a kiwi who has been living and guiding people in Hokkaido going on 10 years . He has been asked by Koichi Nakatani to guide and organize this part of his walk around Hokkaido and has offered to put together this great opportunity for people from different nationalities to gather and share a great experience together.

Meeting Point :August 1st, Asahi-dake onsen village, Hokkaido.

Trek starts : 2nd of August, Very Early

Cost, with gear : ￥25,000
This includes, All meals on the trek, Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, large backpack, cooking/eating gear, Rain gear and Experince local guide .
Cost, without gear ￥15,000
This includes, All meals on the trek and cooking gear and Experince local guide. You bring everything else.
Note: This is an alpine summer trek so good gear is advised. All the gear supplied by The Hokkaido Bush Pig is good and up to the job.

What you need to bring

After the trek we will walk to Nibudani village which should take 3 days for a week long Ainui Festival which starts on the 14th. You are most welcome to join us as well.
