As if on cue, the Japanese New Year opened with a generous amount of
snow! New snow is falling and conditions are great for Reggae
Snowsplash in Hakuba and Minakami! The Gods must be reggae fans indeed!

Snowsplash Golden Hour!
Don’t miss the Snowsplash Golden hour hosted by Yellowtail Wine at Tracks Bar in Hakuba and the Alpine Lodge in Minakami from 6pm – 7pm. Get the party started with half price wine during “Golden Hour.” Also, “on-the-hill” wine tasting at Goryu Ski Resort from 2pm – 3pm.

Sometimes things happen at Reggae Snowsplash when you least expect
it.... powder snow in the morning all of the sudden clearing up at lunch for a
sunny meal on the deck.. meeting new people who will become very

Apologies Tokyo Bill, we'll look into why/how that happened and make sure it doesn't happen again. OJ was a sponsor of the event, and there have been announcements of the event in our newsletter, but that shouldn't happen.

Hope all is well on your end. If it's any consolation, everyone had a great time and was fun seeing some of the readers up in Hakuba over the weekend for some snow and music. Again our apologies you received the info.

Just noticed this apology, and wanted to say that I appreciate your taking the time to post it. This site continues to be the excellent resource that it always has been.

I suspect that snowsplash e-mail was just a glitch of some kind. Glad everyone had fun.
