Hi I'm Aaron. I'm a JR Highschool English teacher who just moved to the area and I'm looking for others who share the love of hiking. I am also looking for long distance runners, bikers and powder lovin skiers but I'll keep it to hiking for now.

If you don't know Chino, Yatzugateke is basically my backyard and the southern Minami alps begin on the other side of town. I would be more than willing to meet hikers in other areas as well.

If you like hiking or can share any info on these areas I'd be very happy. Particularly with regard to finding topographical maps for these 2 mentioned areas.

Aaron, i really like the chino area..went on 1 hike last summer it was great..a nice break from Tokyo.

I am hoping to get out of tokyo and do a 1 or 2 day hike and either camp or stay in some lodge somewhere. Maybe 15 to 20km per day..nothing to much. this will be the weekend of june 6 and 7.

are you interested? i will consult my handy lonely planet hiking guide to find a trail..or if you have a suggestion that would be great.
