G'day,

Tried posting in the kayak group thread but have not heard anything back about that, so trying again.

Just looking for people to go paddling with, preferably near Tokyo... heard Mitake is a good place to meet other boaters, but does anyone know how to get up there without a car? Doubt they would allow a kayak on the train, but if I am wrong, please let me know.

I'm an intermediate boater (on the begginer side of that though I suppose)... comfortable on class III, but fine with running class IV too. I've even run Vs and am willing to do it again, but a little out of my ability (when I am being honest). If you are more into playboating, love that too.

If there are any paddlers near/in Tokyo/Yokohama who would like to go kayaking together, please let me know.

Hi there,

I came across your ad and I am interested in joining you for kayaking near Tokyo! I am a totally beginner for this but I enjoy it in nature because it is just so refreshing and fun!!! If you are planning to go kayaking anytime in the future, please let me know! My boyfriend might come along with me since he also loves outdoor activies in the Kanto area. Looking forward to hearing back from ya!

Hey Hanalyn,

Just wondering exactly what level of kayaking you were at; I assume you can wet exit and roll, at least?

And do you (and your boyfriend, presumably) have your own gear or would you need to rent it.

If you are interested in getting together to go kayaking, give me a mail at ooppsy (at)gmail.com

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Hanalyn and Peta,

I kayak in Mitake almost every weekend and used to be an instructor back in the states.

I was the one who originally tried starting a kayak group, but there didn't seem to be a lot of response for it at the time.

Get in touch with me and lets go get wet!!

I am still interested in Kayaking. I haveno qualifications or equipment!

I do have some experience of sea kayaking though.

Do you think we could get a group together?
