OBJ will offer WAFA & BRIDGE(WAFA to WFR) course in Japan. It is the offitial WMA(Wilderness Medical associates) course and you can get the certification by WMA after you pass the test.

We will have 2 instructors from the states. David Ramsey is working as EMS and the owner of Backcountry Rescue Institute in Kentucky.

Dec 3-6 WAFA Hachioji Tokyo

Dec 15-18 BRIDGE OBJ Nagano Otari Nagano

Fee(Class,Text,not include meals and bed)
WAFA 50,000yen (native English speaker)
BRIDGE 40,000yen

WMA's courses are excellent and Dave is a fantastic teacher. Hamatani-san and his colleagues provided fantastic support. (I did the WFR course last winter.)

If you spend time outside and don't have first aid training, I would highly recomment taking the WAFA course (or bridging up to WFR, if you already have WAFA).

I agree with Bill.WMA's courses are excellent and Dave is a fantastic teacher and guy, e knows how to the long days interesting and fun.
I did their WAFA course up here in Hokkaido last March as a refresher and highly recommend WMA and OBJ.
