Hey guys!
A few months ago I, a 17 year old high school student from California, came to this message board asking for help planning my walking journey across the entire length of japan, from Sata Misaki in the south to Soya Misaki in the north, and recieved much assistance from this site kind users. I am now a little over 3 months into my trek, and would like to give you all the link to my blog which has photos and several lengthy entries about my journey.
Please enjoy! And any comments are welcome!
Thanks for your help guys!

Congratulations on realizing your aspirations. I have a very similar plan, I am a geospatial analyst and geologist / eastern history major from NYC looking to backpack along Basho's route, and the temple-island trek, as well as a few other culturally significant routes. Not to mention some killer skiing. I have a good friend who lives in Aomori and is willing to put me up for as long as I want.

My question is, how are you staying longer than 90 days on a tourist visa? That is my stumbling block at the moment, and I would appreciate any insight into that aspect.
sean.ashe@iraq.centcom.mil
is my current contact.
Thanks!
