Patrick or Andy 090 3346 7854 Even if you've come before, there are new exhibitions! It's a fun place and you can see what a collection of 70 artists do. http://www.tokyoartbeat.com/event/2009/48A4 The French Embassy relocated to a new annex constructed on the same premises. Before the old wing is demolished, the Embassy is holding an exhibition which acts as a platform for cultural exchange between Japan and France. This is the very last opportunity for visitors to visit the old building. Entitled "No Man's Land", the exhibition showcases various works of art in every possible location of the building: offices, hallways, reference rooms, staircases, basement and courtyard. On view in those spaces will be wall paintings and sculptural pieces made of demolition waste, made possible on this special occasion. Most of the work will be produced onsite: some artists will turn the exhibition sites into their ateliers, providing a new form of communication between the viewer and art through their creative activities. Over 70 participants include both internationally renowned and emerging French and Japanese artists, as well as art students from both nations. The running of the event will be made possible through collaborative efforts between companies, schools and NPOs. By opening the entire site to the public at no charge. 2. Pizzakaya in Roppongi: http://www.pizzakaya.com/ Meet us at the embassy earlier or outside the restaurant at 9pm. We will probably have the all you can eat food and maybe a section for drinkers. I guess people could order the opther options but may have to sit at another spot. Great Pizza Starts with Great Dough... already recommended by several OCJ members. Great Set Menus! The 2 Person Set. For 4,725 yen, a medium pizza, salad, appetizer and two soft drinks of your choice. Add 315 yen each for beer or wine. All You Can Eat Specials. 3,675 yen for all you can eat pizza and salad, plus one drink. Minimum 4 guests. And for 5,250 yen per person, all you can eat and drink! Both specials last for two hours. Drinks are draught beers, house wines and soft drinks. |
