It was a grand day at Futako today. The first real spring playing weather, great turnout, and a great action especially at the finish. I took a few photos, some action, some chill:

In the stats though, there is no reference to Yoshio's "the Greatest" play. Do you think you could add a slot for "play of the day". If there are stats being kept, it should be noted somewhere that such a play was made. It was the first time I have ever seen one successfully made...and the one today was swweeeeeeet! (Seeing that you got the assist on it, you could take some personal pride in that too!!)

Thanks Brady. I used a new plug-in to make that over-lapping photo layout. And good suggestion for the "Play of the Day" category. I added it already. I'd say that could very well be the play of the year, unless some how Karl comes out and does something to top it as only he can.

jason, great job with the pics and the stats.

just wanted to say that (despite the poor turnout for early practice) yesterday was a GREAT day with lots of good plays by many different people. couldn't have asked for better weather or for generally a more positive attitude. on the attitude tip, i really liked the fact that everybody was equally cooperative and competitive. women, new players, veterans all got to touch the disc. many points involved most or all of the players on a team. great work!

actually, i was ecstatic because i had finally gotten someone to recognize my special and highly underappreciated "brows". i don't want to sound too highbrow, so to speak, but i reckin it takes about four of them to complete a "greatest"...

Thanks Jolyon and Yoshio. Glad you liked them. I was pleased with how they turned out. It's hard to get good action shots though. Got to work on my timing.

Sounds like I missed a good one. I decided to take it easy given my nose situation. I should be back on the field this week though. It's still sore but the damage is minimal, just a tiny bit broken on the left side. There's really nothing noticeable as those who saw me at Vince's can attest. It should heal fine without any further intervention.
