In case you didn’t catch the announcements in Perth, you are warmly invited to the third annual Vietnam Hat Tournament, to be held December 30-31 in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Last year’s tourney received rave reviews, and this year promises to be even better, thanks to more teams, a new crop of talented Vietnamese players, and Lester “The Grand Party Master” Sualog of Force Durian Gamelan Orchestra fame, who was recently imported from the Indonesia to beef up the New Year’s Party campaign (Lester, by the way, was the creative genius behind the bright orange jump suits worn by Force Durian in Perth this year). Due to popular request, hip local deejay Tino Tran will also be back in force with his awesome afro and disco action.



If you don’t have New Year’s plans yet (and if Perth didn't cure you of the travel bug), Vietnam beckons.
