I'm going to be studying abroad in Japan for a couple of weeks in July. I'll mostly be in Kyoto. A few of my friends would like to play a little frisbee while there. Does anyone know if there are any groups or clubs we can play with and maybe buy some discs from?

Maria, dunno about Kyoto, but there are fairly consistent pick up and weekend games in Tokyo (mainly on the West side of town, like Yoyogi Koen and Tamagawa). Check out OJ or the message boards for mo' 411...or hit me up, I'll try to help. There are grass and beach ultimate tournaments in July I think, but not sure of locations and dates at this time.
