About an hour out of yokohama at the tip of Miura peninsula is a great hike along the coast..parts are of the hike along the rocks and shore are developed and parts are natural (relative to the rest of the area) We went at low tide so by climbing over rocks we could make a several mile hike out of it. The hike back from the beach to the station is pleasant as well...1/2 of it is through farm land with a variety of crops. There use to be a trail along the coast but only bits of it remain as the erosion i pretty dramatic. There were many many great tide pools to explore with lots of sea creatures.. A great hike - with or with out children
