Mt Futago is 200meter, with a radio tower on top, but the area is forested with cedar and a huge variety of other trees and plants..the hike this week, late April, was ideal..few bugs, many blooming trees and wildflowers and few other hikers. The first mile of the trail is along a creek and looks like it is used for logging - the 2nd mile is uphill to the peaks and some of it is along the creak bed. there are a variety or trails to follow once you are on top. Our route took us to Taura station and back to Yokohama
