Hello fellow boarders Smiler

I'm new here - Tom, 24, into longboarding for 2 years, and recently moved to Tokyo.
Yoroshiku ne ^^

The season for longboarding has well begun now, and I'm eager to hit the roads again - however I have no board buddies in the area, and know little to nothing about the spots in Tokyo. I feel I shouldn't just randomly hit the streets or even sidewalks in the crowded metropolis, for there would probably be running over involved at some point...
I'm into cruising and dancing, plus a little DH occasionally. I'd love to meet anyone around for some sessions, ideally - if not, at least I'd enjoy some advice about the skate-able places in Tokyo and such.

Hope to hear back from you guys. Any answer shall be rewarded with ice-cold beer (or whatever drink you fancy)

Ride on =)

Tom aka LSK

Ride on, LSK. Wish I could help you out there. I live in Saitama and don't get to ride much these days. Used to skate through Shinjuku in the very early morning hours on the way to school, until I got told off. Sure was fun! What part of Tokyo are you in?

Hey guys, thanks for the answers ! Glad to see there *are* a few longboarders out there, I was kinda giving up on it...
Suneku : I'm in Tokyo Bay (Chuo-ku, Kachidoki), near Ginza. Full of bad pavement and skate-hating cops.
Racer X: Awesome ! I'm all in for some early week end cruisin' ! We'll see later about DH though, I left all my protective gear back home Roll Eyes
I'll give you a shout when the weather is good enough to go skate, eh ^^ (darn rainy season !)

Alright "Board Members" ...and a big shout out to Snake in Saitama...did not recognize the moniker! Good to know you are still kickin; it in Japan!
I've been lax about getting out to ride with friends and other like minded 4 wheeled creatures. Seems a lot of my skating has been a quality form of stress release and these days I'm getting my carvinv turns down real good. If anyone has time on Sun June 21st, and the weather is favorable, I suggest an early morning session starting around 8am in Yoyogi Park. Anyone in ?
I have 3 or 4 nice downhill routes already scouted in the area that are sweet as long as you get on the pavement before the shoppers and Sunday drivers are out.
Keep in touch as the date approaches...i will post again around the 18th.

peace,

X

All right then, X! Now you know I'm still around, let's get down some time! Love to join you all for that ride, but I'm slaving more than likely Sunday mornings, if you can believe that. But hey, one of these times.
Aight,
Ssssss

Hey guys
I just got here this week (setagaya-ku) and brought my board with me. It seems like I just missed a meet up, but I've been skating around every day since I got here, and having a blast.

Randomly hitting the streets has been pretty rewarding, there are tons of little side streets just begging to be rolled over.

So ya, hit me up if you wanna skate. I'll be here until august. My only plans are to skate and see the eclipse.

peace.
Brandon
