Lou Dawg - Don't think there are any runs documented in Roppongiso would be stoked to get those on the web. Where did you ride? I've spent a bunch of time there and lots of good terrain. Hoping you discovered something new!
As your schedule firms up lets roll. Rainy season is just around the corner though so hopefully we can get it in. What?! Digital, video, stills, get all the attention. Don't abandon the podcast, brother. It is gonna to dominate. "Flow or Never" as seen recently on a classic no-where-but-Japan T-shirt. |

Dont think I wont be tuning into the cast as soon as you post it, its a done deal.
The Roponggi run is not far from the Hibiya station. It starts between a bigscreen TV on a building and a cafe/cofee shop. Thats the best description I can give right now since I was riding with my good friend Johnie Walker most of the time. I was thinking of rolling back up to Tokyo sometime between the 16th and 19th. I will stay as long as I can afford which shouldnt be difficult now that I have scoped all the key secrets of park survival. When do you think the rainy season will hit this year? It seems like the weather patterns are rolling in a little later than usual. |

Another tip for cutting cost is to eat for free at the supermarkets tasting corners.
Some of the bigger ones have lotsa free sample stuff for tasting, meat, fish, pastries etc. For example, The Tokyu store in the basement of Shibuya station usually have a good selection of fish and meat on weekends. Used to go for lunch quite often at one in a Yokohama suburb a coupla yrs ago. If you don't live for something you'll die for nothing |

Good Advice Flash - you can do pretty well at the depato's for certain. Did you actually do that brah? Must've been saving your money for Gotanda...

Sweet tip flash I will definitely be keeping that in mind. Last time I was enjoying some great free samples of monju from some Aoyama organic grocery stores.
I wish I could find a week long locker rental somewhere in the area though. It sucks having to skate with a sleeping bag and backpack on. The trainstation lockers end up costing 600 yen a day because you have to stow your gear in the morning and night which adds up real quick. |

Excellent Photos Border! I didn't remember you having a camera along or were those all from your keitai? Regardless - nice one.
OK I got to get mine up there. Sorry I have been late on those. Two thoughts though - 1) They don't do it justice! Can't take photos of wind howling I guess... 2) It's also amazing how small that snowfield looks until I remember the slog up and the amount of carving on the way down. Good memories! Thanks for posting those. "Flow or Never" as seen recently on a classic no-where-but-Japan T-shirt. |

Hey Fellas,
Thanks for the pics and the podcast. I should have those brain cells burnt off over the next few months so it will be good to have the memories. Glad to see there were no pics of me begging for a fast and painless death. Heading down to Yokohama for the greenroom festival this weekend if you anyone is interested. Otherwise I hope to hook up for a skate again in June. L. |
