My outfitter has had several late cancellations and a few paid for hunts pushed later into the year, so he now has last minute openings to fill. His usual price for a 4 day red stag hunt is $4250. The price for the 6 day rut hunt is usually $6000. The price for the rut hunt this year since that is when a few of the cancellations are is $3500, EVERYTHING INCLUDED except airfare. That includes trophy fees for one red stag, all meals, ground transportation, lodging, beverages (including cold beer), etc. There are also a handful of the 4 day hunts that are available at this price to. If you are serious about going, you will probably never see a 6 day hunt at the peak of the roar for that price again. As a matter of fact, we will probably be going up 10% on base prices next year. He has 120,000 acres of exclusive properties with huge stag, fallow, tahr, etc. and is priced WAY below the competition and providing a better hunt. I am headed down on the six day hunt as there are some stags running around that will go top 10 in the world if I manage to stick one. The hunt is gun or bow. With a gun it is pretty much a sure thing as you will see several stags a day.I am taking my bow, but will use one of the outfitters guns if it comes down to the last couple of days and I have not sealed the deal. The outfitter has rifles available just for this purpose, so that bowhunters do not have to carry two cases, do all the firearms ppwk, etc. and still have the option of taking one with a rifle.
