Happy New Year from Outdoor Club Japan. If you have no trip plan for the New Year you might be interested in this one.

If you would like to join please check the website calendar for meeting time and place - details will be added around 10pm tonight. Hike will not start early!
Calendar:

Website: http://outdoorclubjapan.com/

Monday 31st December - 1st January.
Chiba rock tour (Nokogiri Yama) & last sunset 2007, Izakaya party, midnight temple, Narita Barge Inn British pub countdown party (live band), beach sunrise camp

Is that enough? Really * but perhaps **** if you can wake up for sunrise after all activities.

Nokogiriyama: Easy hike and beautiful scenery - an interesting trip if you hav never been there.

Probably about 15-20 people interested at the moment but we can increase that I'm sure.
Plan is not fixed yet, I will post final details on the website calendar by 10pm tonight. You could join us later if you prefer for the Midnight temple or pub party etc. Or come back to Tokyo after the Nokogiriyama hike.

Outline Plan
1. December 31st: Easy hike around Nokogiri Yama (climbers could climb). See the rock carvings and temples - sure to be something special happening on New Year's Eve. About 4 hours I think. See the last sunset!

2. Eat and drink in Izakaya, maybe there is an onsen or bath place???
3. Around midnight visit temple, maybe Narita temple which is very famous for New Year visit, or a quieter temple.
4. In Narita there is a British pub called the Barge Inn. They will have a live band and party.

5. January 1st: Go down to the beach and relax .... sunrise.
We could take tents if it is a bit windy and we have stoves for cooking or making hot drinks.

Details are still flexible and order of points 3/4. Will send final details to members soon,
Andy
