Ski Jumping Pairs: Road to Torino 2006
Director Riichiro ( as seen in onedotzero’s j-star programme) moves from shorts to feature length hilarious spoof Japanese documentary, which 'objectively' studies the newly accredited Olympic winter sport: tandem ski jumping. Professor Toshifumi discovers this new sport, and makes it his life duty to earn it official status. He trains his usefully twinned sons Akinar and Michinori from childhood to become the first champions of this vertigo-inducing sport. An understated genius comedy of international appeal, and a timely cheer for the London Olympics 2012! This is Riichiro's first feature and the natural development of his short film DVD series, a massive hit in Japan. also...
