I live in Seattle but travel very frequently to Japan and have always wondered while riding along in the train whether one is allowed to kayak in the rivers and waterways that flow through Tokyo proper? I know the waters are often shallow and pretty silty but it could be a fun urban adventure. Has anyone ever done this? Also looking for current/ tidal impact info regarding the Arakawa (maybe kayak this instead of the smaller waterways).
