Hi,

I'm new to this forum, having signed up as it looks like a good place to ask a couple questions I have.

I'm trying to obtain some information on Japanese authors and publishers of climbing/outdoor/adventure literature - either fiction or non-fiction. I don't know where to begin or what to look for, so I'm hoping those more knowledgable and experienced could point me in the right direction. I'm very interested to read and learn about what titles/authors are considered classic and popular in Japan.

Who is (or is there?!) a Japanese equivalent author to people such Joe Simpson, Andy Cave, Jon Krakaeur or more classic/old ones like Messener or Bonatti?

Any information or discussion would be well received!
